My life as a mum

I am not a fashionista but I do like nice clothes a lot. If you've seen  my last What I wore Wednesday post, you have probably realized that I don't buy new clothes really often. I really own a lot of second hand clothes. Some bought, some of them I got for free. I don't really wear high heels a lot. But I do have one pair that I wear to church on most Sundays. Since I really can't walk on really high spike heels, these are kind of 'block heels',so I can walk on them without any problems. I can't have them on for very long though, when I have to stand or walk a lot. They really start to hurt very terribily after some time. I do love high heels though. They look nice and feminine. And I think with some outfits they would really fit nicely. The other day I had a lace top on and I thought that it would be nice to wear it with heels. And I also thought that it would be nice to try and practise walking on heels. I searched online and it got me so excited. A...

I decided to finally do a What I wore Wednesday post again. I will be sharing two outfits that I've had on over the last days in which I have been doing the 30 day challenge of wearing dresses and skirts. Read about it here . When I was in Ireland I used to love going to the carboot sale to pick up cheap stuff and I often shopped there for clothes. I got the dress that I am wearing in the picture below, on the carboot sale together with two different dresses for 1 euro. I did not wear it for ages but since I don't have a lot of dresses and skirts and I am trying to do this challenge, I had to give it a try. It is really short, so I always wear it with pants. I chose black dress pants since they seemed the best match. The top from the dress is from t-shirt material and the dress is more cotton- like but very soft and it has pockets. The colours are dark-blue and white. I also bought the brown jack on the carboot sale but it was new and so I paid about 8 euro for it. It ...

Today I accepted a new challenge. A friend of mine posted an album on facebook with the text "30 day chalenge of wearing dresses and skirts." I commented ; ‘Sounds cool’ and before I knew it, she challenged me to do the same. And I decided to accept. I don’t have a lot of dresses and skirts but I’m going to give it a try anyway. I used to love wearing dresses / skirts to church. Nice long ones. But I don’t have a lot of those anymore. And today when I looked through my wardrobe, deciding what to wear, I realized that a lot of dresses / skirts actually needed to be washed so the best I could do was to wear a short dress with a legging. It's not my favourite way to wear a skirt or dress but I sometimes do. So after taking a shower and co-washing my hair, that is what I put on. It is the same dress that I had on last Summer when the girls and I were in Romania. Only then I was a few kilograms lighter. I realized that accepting this challenge ...

Today I wanted to share another outfit that I've been wearing lately. I really love ruffles therefore I love this blouse. It is made out of a silky fabric and in the colour navy. I mostly wear it with grey dress pants. On the first picture I'm wearing it with a denim jack because it was a bit too chilly since the blouse doesn't really have sleeves. On the second and third picture I'm wearing it with a long sleeved shirt in about the same colour. And I'm wearing brown pants. As you perhaps could tell from my last post, I love animal print but mostly leopard print. I'm always excited when I find something in leopard print. I also love hot pink and sparkles. So I love finding items with one of these three things on them. I was thrilled to find the top that I was wearing today on a carboot sale for 1 euro. It has all three things in it, even though the sparkles are hard to see on these pictures. I'm wearing it with a denim skirt and black shiny (leather look) leggings That's also why I'm still in love with the Lipsy bag I bought last year, which has all three combined in one bag.  I actually exchanged my bag with a new one that I bought as a spare because I loved the bag so much. The old one still needs to go in the washing machine but for now I 'm enjoying the new one. It a comes with a purse which is also in leopard print and pink but it misses the sparkles. I have a new purse as well to replace my purse but...

I've been wanting to post outfits for a while now but every time something seemed to come up. So finally again a WIWW post. This outfit is made up out of items that I got second hand. I really love this colour pink and I really love sparkly things, so this top is one of my favourites. I also love the sparkly (silvery) belt. Today I want to share an outfit that I've been wearing lately. I loved wearing this outfit which mostly consists of items out of 'my (very) old box '. The skirt is a hand me down I got from my aunt a few years ago. I love long skirts and I love this colour and the ruffles on the skirt. The black cropped top I bought a few years ago as well and is a tight fit. Since it is very short and a very low cut I decided to wear another black top under it. Because it was getting a bit chilly that day I added my black cropped leather jacket, which I really love as well. I'm still in love with my Lipsy bag after all these months. (Read about it here .) Today, just a short post about what I was wearing today. The weather was cold, mostly dry, with sunny spells. It was warm enough to wear what I was wearing.
