Hello Springy times. Day 2 of BEDM.

I always loved the idea of a Hello Monday post from Lisa Leonard and you may have seen some of them before on my blog.
As my second post for the month of May I chose to do another one.

Hello Monday

Hello Springy times

Hello days with sunny spells.

Hello to playing outside at the back.

Hello playground times with lots of fun.

Hello to Yovannah writing in a diary.

Hello to Nevaeh improving her writing skills.

Hello little flowers growing in the wild.

Hello to planting little veggies.

Hello apple tree. I hope that you will grow well and live and when I’ve found you an 'apple tree mate' that some day we could have apples from you as well.

Hello to looking into the world with my own eyes.
Since my reading glasses that I was wearing the whole day broke, I have been going without glasses a lot of the time lately. Only for the laptop and reading, I really need glasses and I picked up a pair in the supermarket for a euro. I did get lenses from the optician to try out as well but one of them somehow got ripped after a few days so I need to get another one to replace that one.

Hello to wearing a little bit more make up again. Without glasses I feel I need to use make up more often to hide the dark circles under my eyes a little bit. :)

Hello to the May school break. We have one week of it left and I hope the girls and I can do some fun stuff before they have to go back to school next week.

Hello to movie time at home with popcorn. You gave us lots of fun and we are doing you again today.

What are you saying Hello to today ?

Have a lovely Monday evening.

Love,

Mummy, I need your 'pookie'

It’s World Breastfeeding Week from August 1st to August 7th 2013 and this year’s theme is Breastfeeding Support: Close to Mothers. You can read more about it on http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org . The focus is on community support, particularly in the form of peer-to-peer support. To show support for World Breastfeeding Week, the Irish Parenting Bloggers group is holding a blog march about varied breastfeeding experiences, including experiences with breastfeeding support in Ireland. This inspired me to write a post about breastfeeding as well. My breast feeding journey When I was pregnant with my first child, I decided that it would be a great idea to combine breast- and bottle feeding. But in the hospital they convinced me how healthy and important it was to breastfeed exclusively and then I decided to go that road. I got a breast pump to express milk so my baby could get a bottle with breast milk when I was out and about or for the scarce times that I would leave her...

Nevaehs Summer Bucket list

Unfortunately, it seems that this year the Autumn weather has started earlier than last year.  And so I finally wanted to write a blog post to share Nevaehs Summer Bucket list with you. This Summer, we mostly stayed in the Netherlands. We only went to Germany to visit Moviepark Germany for two days. At the beginning of the break, the girls entertained themselves by playing games and watching youtube video’s on their tablets and laptop. This bothered me a bit, so one evening I called them all together to sit down and told them to make a bucketlist for the Summer. The first one to finish was allowed to have the last bit of ice cream. Nevaeh can already write a little bit but I told her that she could draw instead. So she made a bucketlist with 10 items on it. The actual bucket list got lost somewhere but we memorized what was on it and I’m glad to say that she has been able to do all the items on it. So here is Nevaehs Summer Bucket List. 1 Go to the playground ...

Fashion Friday Kids; Tutu's and animal print

My littlest of little girls is a little fashionista. She knows what she wants and sometimes when I pick something out for her to wear, she walks to the closet, opens the door and then stands in front of it to choose another outfit for the day. She loves skirts and dresses. As mentioned in another post she often doesn’t want to wear anything else and calls most skirts and dresses ‘ballerina’. Her favourite skirts are the tutu’s. When I had to choose an outfit for her 2 nd birthday in February, I looked online on the website of H&M and found a cute dress with animal print. I decided to get it in the shop and make up an outfit by adding a pink tutu to it. I loved it and she loved it as well. The birthday outfit In the new class room for 2-3 year olds in church With big sisters in the church lounge Playing with new toys Because I love animal prints and she loved the tutu so much I couldn’t resist an outfit I found on Zulily. The biggest size that the...
