Leopard print, hot pink and sparkles. Mini Lipsy giveaway. (closed)

As you perhaps could tell from my last post, I love animal print but mostly leopard print. I'm always excited when I find something in leopard print. I also love hot pink and sparkles. So I love finding items with one of these three things on them. I was thrilled to find the top that I was wearing today on a carboot sale for 1 euro. It has all three things in it, even though the sparkles are hard to see on these pictures. I'm wearing it with a denim skirt and black shiny (leather look) leggings That's also why I'm still in love with the Lipsy bag I bought last year, which has all three combined in one bag.  I actually exchanged my bag with a new one that I bought as a spare because I loved the bag so much. The old one still needs to go in the washing machine but for now I 'm enjoying the new one. It a comes with a purse which is also in leopard print and pink but it misses the sparkles. I have a new purse as well to replace my purse but

Fashion Friday Kids; Tutu's and animal print

My littlest of little girls is a little fashionista. She knows what she wants and sometimes when I pick something out for her to wear, she walks to the closet, opens the door and then stands in front of it to choose another outfit for the day. She loves skirts and dresses. As mentioned in another post she often doesn’t want to wear anything else and calls most skirts and dresses ‘ballerina’. Her favourite skirts are the tutu’s. When I had to choose an outfit for her 2 nd birthday in February, I looked online on the website of H&M and found a cute dress with animal print. I decided to get it in the shop and make up an outfit by adding a pink tutu to it. I loved it and she loved it as well. The birthday outfit In the new class room for 2-3 year olds in church With big sisters in the church lounge Playing with new toys Because I love animal prints and she loved the tutu so much I couldn’t resist an outfit I found on Zulily. The biggest size that the

The present of life

It 's Friday again and that means that it's time for another Five minute Friday post. Today we are writing about : Present Go I love presents. Apparently, receiving gifts is one of the 5 love languages and I must say that what I love about it is that it makes you feel special, loved.  So I guess I can agree that it is a love language. It’s nice and loving that someone thought about you and wanted to give you something. In that way they show that they care about you, appreciate you, that you mean something to them. It makes me think about the presents that God gives. The God Who loves us so much that He gave His only Son to us , to die on the Cross for us, so that we can be saved and live eternally (go to heaven) .  A God Who is love and gave us the gift of life together with a  plan that we are supposed to follow if we want to be truly happy.  Today as we live our lives let us remember Him Who loves us so much, Who gives so freely of all that we need.  Le

Testimony Thursday: Back to school part 2

Most of this post was written a while ago before my laptop broke.  I initially wrote it as an assignment for one of the Childcare modules that I did and since it is a few months ago now, I had to edit it. When my oldest daughter Ixora was a toddler of one years old, we spent a few months in Suriname (South America) , where Ixora’s dad was born and where my parents are originally from. I had planned to start working again when we would return to Holland so I decided that it would be a good idea to put her in a crèche or playschool in Suriname in the mornings, so she would get used to going to such a place. We went to a lot of different places but it was hard to find a place that met all my expectations. The people who owned the childcare centres all had great intentions but every time I missed something. I also noticed that a lot of childcare workers didn’t have any qualifications to work in childcare as this apparently wasn’t required there. In the end, I found a play schoo

Worship Wednesday : At the Cross.

Today I want to share a youtube video from another song that I love and which is really blessing me a lot lately. It is : At the Cross. It really touches my heart and brings me closer to God when I sing it with all my heart. I hope that you are blessed by it too. Let us worship God in spirit and truth. John 4:24 God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in truth and spirit. Today as you listen to this song, worship Him with all your heart and enter into His presence. The bible says that in His presence there is fullness of joy.(Psalm 16:11) In His presence there is provision for everything that we need. So step into His presence. The bible says : If you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. (James 4:8) I pray that while you sing this song with all your heart, it will bring you closer to God. Enjoy and worship Him with me today ! Which worship song blesses you extra lately ? Which song do you have in your mind/ on your heart a lot ? Please sha

Sunday Social : Trips

A little late because it is here 00.22 but here is my Sunday Social post of this week. 1 What is the best trip you’ve ever been on? Balaton lake in Hungary. I initially went to Hungary with a friend but she had to return home because of work and I had an open ticket and couldn’t get a return date for longer than a week so I did some more things in Hungary on my own and ended up going to the Balaton lake where I had a great time. I visited a lot of great places around the Balaton lake. I love the look of the green water.  It was great being on my own and I remember that I had a lot of special times with God as well, sitting on the beach at night, experiencing His presence. 2. What is your best idea for a girls weekend trip? London. Shopping, having tea at a terrace, getting hair done at hair salon, getting nails done, spa, fashion show, concert or girls ‘ conference. 3. What is your best idea for a couples trip? Paris. This city is really a romanti

Testimony Thursday: When God steps in.

Last week on Friday was the last day of school. The evening before, we had gone to the Carboot sale, to see if we could find some items for the bedrooms for the girls, because we are doing their rooms at the moment. I had said: 'we are not getting any soft toys', since you can always get those quite cheap and they keep getting these and they already have a lot of them. Still, while we were looking around in the rain, my 8 year old, Ixora, found a puppy that she wanted to have and I decided to let her get it, because she really seemed to want it. So when I collected Ixora from school she had the puppy in her hand. Apparently, she had taken it to school with her to show her friends. While we were walking to the car, one of the boys from her class dropped a bunch of school books that he was holding in his hands, on the floor. He didn’t bring a school bag on the last school day and he had a ball with him. His mother had his toddler brother on her arm and said : 'I can’
