The kids love......Gnomeo and Juliet.

I originally wrote this post a while back just before my laptop broke . After watching dvd’s every day for a month in the Summer (because of our Summer pass), I was relieved that we didn’t have to go to the dvd place every day anymore. Yes , I know we never really had to but we didn’t want to miss the chance to get a dvd most days and you could always only keep them for one day and then you had to go back to return them or renew them. So we just kept going every day and then we took new ones again, except for two times or so that we managed to get the Xtravision on the phone to renew the loans we had. When we brought back the last dvd, I allowed Ixora to choose one dvd to buy. She chose one that she had never seen before. Gnomeo and Juliet. And she loved it. Gnomeo and Juliet turned out to be a big hit with the kids:a dvd the kids would watch over and over again. I didn’t pay much attention to it at first, but since they love this dvd so much I decided to make a post about it.

Kids picks (Christmas gifts)

Here in Ireland most people normally do their Christmas shopping well in advance. From October/ November you will hear people asking each other a lot : 'Have you started your Christmas shopping yet ? ' There will always be special sales in all the shops starting around that time or maybe even earlier. There will especially be great discounts on toys. But in the almost seven years that I have been living here, I have never really started shopping for Christmas gifts in advance. I usually by my gifts just before Christmas Day. Only this year, I joined in with the early Christmas shopping and started getting some bits in from a few weeks ago. Maybe I got a bit influenced by the people that I work with on my work placement in a Montessori. But I really love knowing that the kids will at least have a few new things that they need or that they would like to have, on Christmas Day and not having to try to get something for them last minute. And I like that I got to divide the costs

What I've been up to lately...

After swimming in seas of laptoplessness and internetlessness for weeks, I finally have a working laptop again and some internet access. Yay ! Now to get back to blogging, is a totally different thing. But here we are giving it a try. I feel a bit guilty for not being able to maintain my blog and not being able to keep in contact with all the bloggy friends that I've made. So I apologise for all of that... So what have I been up to in the past weeks ? Apart from following college classes, reading books for college, doing work experience and doing homework and assignments, I started a new hobby and went back to an old one. Being in college can be stressful sometimes so I am certainly happy and pleased that I found these hobbies, that give me the opportunity to relax a little bit. In college I joined the group 'Knit and natter' which is held during lunch break once a week. I haven't knitted yet but since I was taught crochet as a child I started with that, just
